Promotion to Superintendent & Chief Superintendent

The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Strategic Alliance are seeking applications for promotion to Chief Superintendent and Superintendent from substantive Superintendents and Chief Inspectors.

To be successful in this role you need to have proven leadership skills as well as an ability to deliver outstanding performance for the communities we serve.  You should also demonstrate, through an up to date PDR, a high level of competence at your current rank.

You are also invited to attend an information event on Tuesday 19th September 2017 commencing at 15.00 hours at Hertfordshire Police Headquarters in Welwyn Garden City. The final selection stage consists of a presentation and interview and will assesses both your technical and leadership competencies.  The final selection process will take place weeks commencing 09th October 2017 and 16th October 2017. At this stage of the process, we ask that applicants declare any annual leave that is pre-booked over this period.

A vacancy has arisen within Joint Protective services in a specialist post. This post holder will work directly to the Chief Superintendent, Uniformed Protective Services managing over 550 staff and providing a critical service to Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire residents. The span of command is vast and includes the armed policing response for the three counties, roads policing, Luton airport, dogs, civil contingencies planning and much more.

The post holder will be required to travel, however high levels of flexibility regarding working locations do exist.
