37 hours per week

This is an integral part of the intelligence structure which demands a proactive and creative approach to respond to regional terrorism policing issues. You will be responsible for collecting and collating a range of diverse operational, prison and community intelligence relevant to the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk force areas. Your work will directly assist the Analysts and other intelligence staff to produce high quality products which conform to the Government’s counter terrorism strategy CONTEST.
You will need to be familiar with common IT hardware and software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. It is essential that the successful candidate has a positive, flexible, approach to working, has the ability to manage multiple tasks and can maintain discretion within a confidential environment.
This post is based at the East region Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit (CTIU) located within central Hertfordshire. The post holder may on occasion be required to travel for business purposes.
COMPETENCY AREAS TO BE EVIDENCED IN APPLICATION
• Technical Activities:
o 1042 – Gather information to support action
o 660 – Maintain standards for security of information
o 1005 – Input, retrieve and present data using a computer
• Behavioural Competency:
o Working with others
