Event - Special Constable Introductory Session 30th April 2014

Headquarters, WGC, Herts

Anyone considering joining Hertfordshire Special Constabulary need to attend an induction evening, the purpose of which is to explain what will be expected of you after joining the organisation.

You may not be aware but around 50% of Special Constables leave within the first two years of their service – this is often because they didn’t appreciate the level of commitment that they were signing up to.

Senior officers from the Special Constabulary will talk you through a presentation that explains the training you will receive, the work that you will be required to complete over the next 18 months or so and the various commitments that will be expected of you.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns that you might have.

Attendance at an induction session is mandatory before your application can be fully accepted, and should be undertaken as soon as possible.

As senior officers will be present, you should dress smart casual.

Following your attendance at the meeting, we will invite you to a ride-along when you'll witness the work of Hertfordshire Constabulary at first hand.

If you have any specific questions at this stage then please email or call me on ian.martin@herts.pnn.police.uk or 07956 249982.

We look forward to seeing you at the Induction Evening.

This opportunity is closed to applications.
