The successful candidate will provide strategic crime prevention advice and support to the Local Policing Command (LPC) businesses, the public and other organisations.

The successful candidate will work closely with other agencies, partners and businesses, often at a senior level.

The successful applicants must be prepared to attend a one week residential training course in order to acquire the appropriate skills and knowledge for the role.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work with others. The ability to communicate effectively on an individual basis and with larger groups is essential.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Watford, Dacorum and Three Rivers Crime Reduction Partnerships. They will also be expected to attend regularly meetings at Police HQ and elsewhere in the County.

The successful candidate will have sound IT, presentation and facilitation skills and be able to work under their own initiative.

They will also possess strong interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with and motivate a diverse cross section of people: They will have contact with Police Officers and staff at all grades, as well as members of the public and partner agencies.
