The Court Admin Team (CAT) has an important part to play in supporting police officers by updating, tracking, inputting data and processing prosecution files. As the link department between officers, the CPS, the Magistrates Courts and the public it is important that all files are dealt with within set timescales. We therefore need to work to tight deadlines and ensure that files are processed accurately and efficiently.

This is a part time role covering 7.5 hours a day, 08:00 – 16:00, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Saturday is required to prepare remand cases for the Remand Court and update officers and victims with the outcome of these cases throughout the day.

The role involves preparing case files for first hearing, data inputting to CJ systems, updating Victims and Witnesses following a guilty plea and dealing with a variety of telephone enquiries from police colleagues, members of the public, defence, prosecutors, Court etc.

This role calls for accurate keyboard skills, attention to detail, an organised approach to work, good customer service skills, as well as an awareness of tight deadlines. Full training on our systems will be provided.
