***Through gaining a thorough understanding for the business and working with senior police officers and police staff, the HRBP will promote and undertake HR interventions that will improve service delivery in the future. Acting as the key role as an interface between customers and other HR portfolio holders and procuring HR services for the business from centralised resources the role ensures operational business requirements and priorities are met.

As part of a team of HR Business Partners in a collaborated HR function which supports Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary, there is now a vacancy for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The role will support Hertfordshire Constabulary and will be based in Hatfield but there will also be the requirement for travel across the county and on occasion across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire

Applicants will be Chartered Members of CIPD, with well developed consultancy skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with managers of all levels. Knowledge of current employment legislation, experience of working effectively with trade unions and staff associations is required as is the ability to effectively manage employee relations issues. Confidence in using HR metric data to measure and monitor performance is also key to identify and implement HR solutions to issues identified.
