***Workforce Development - A2 Business Support Assistant

There are new and varied administrative roles which have been created within the recent restructured Workforce Development Department. These posts offer an opportunity to be part of a team of police officers, Specials and police staff supporting Positive Action and Special Constabulary recruitment and all officer development initiatives.

The posts involve liaising with external and internal applicants therefore excellent communication skills are essential. Data accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook are also essential.

The role will prepare and present documents, maintain accurate records to ensure information is easily accessible, liaise with other departments/areas and external organisations to gather/pass information and undertake research, carry out time and diary management determining priorities in accordance with organising conferences/training schedules/ recruitment events, manage all telephone, written and electronic communications and undertake a range of administrative tasks. Maintaining and monitoring a central tracking system to enable data analysis.
If you are successful you will be assigned to providing administrative support to one or more of the following strands.

Positive Action: dealing with prospective police officer candidates, focusing on gaining attendance at recruitment events.

Development: supporting the promotions process mentoring schemes; Continued Professional Development, Police Now, Direct Entry and Fast Track programmes.

Crime Development: assisting police officers who are responsible for all crime training courses; the Accelerated Detective Constable Programme and accreditation of detectives.
