***This role is based within the BCH Human Resources Service Centre in Stevenage, which is the first point of contact for all HR enquiries from internal and external customers. You will be required to deliver a high level customer focused service for all HR transactional processes including recruitment, pay, resignations, retirements, sickness recording, maternity and career breaks.

You will act as first line manager for a team of HR Service Centre Assistants. You will be based in a very busy office environment and will be expected to ensure that a high level of customer service is provided at all times. You will have responsibility for training new and existing staff on team processes and coaching and motivating the team to achieve team targets and meet KPI’s. You will be required to give advice and guidance to your team on procedures and deal with complex administration.

This is a challenging role and excellent communication skills with all levels of staff are a necessity, as is a high level of self-motivation, pro activity and the ability to multi task. You must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, be flexible in your approach and be able to work well as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have experience of supervising a team in a complex and changing environment and be able to demonstrate leadership, team working and excellent customer focus skills.
