An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the Resource Management Unit with the Force Communications Room based at Headquarters, Welwyn Garden City.

The FCR is a front facing key operation department comprising operational Police Officers and Police staff who work a variety of rotating shifts across a 24hr period. It is essential that our supply and demand services the fluctuating operational need with the right people in the right place at the right time.

The successful applicant will be working within a busy, fast moving environment providing logistical planning which is often reactive and dynamic within tight timescales to meet operational and corporate need.

The post holder will be required to have strong communication interpersonal skills, be flexible in their approach and be able to operate on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Candidates will have an eye for detail and be computer literate which is essential for this role, particularly the adaptability to use customised databases. An understanding of Police Officer and Police Staff conditions of service would be an advantage but full training will be provided where necessary.

Please note that this role is to support the FCR which is a 24/7 operational environment so will entail shift work to provide cover in the evenings and some weekends. There are both part-time and full-time positions available.
