You will be working within a team of analysts and other key intelligence professionals and report to a senior analyst.

Experience within the intelligence arena is desirable together with a strong working knowledge of the Constabulary’s crime and incident recording systems.

Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff will be combined with high levels of self-motivation, a proactive approach and the ability to work within a multi-functional team. Additionally, you should be familiar with complex, customised databases and varied computer packages.

Working hours are based on a 5 week shift pattern which incorporates working one Saturday and Sunday every five weeks. Shift Allowance: 1 additional SCP

Selected candidates will be required to complete an assessment and interview as part of the selection process.

Police Officers who accept an offer of a Police Staff role will need to retire as an Officer and if they are currently on the 30+ Scheme, will need to leave that Scheme.

Police Officers considering retirement and being re-employed as Police Staff are required to read the attached Briefing Note as it contains important tax information regarding retirement and pension payments.

Due to this role involving shift work, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment by the Occupational Health and Safety Department.
