Applications are invited for the role of Principal Analyst (Pay Grade A6) for Hertfordshire Constabulary.

The role will support the Constabulary in achieving its objectives by providing strategic direction on the implementation of the National Intelligence Model. To advise senior managers and intelligence staff on the effective development and use of standard analytical products in relation to intelligence. This role should be conducted within the Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Policing Style.

The successful Post Holder will be responsible for the preparation of the Strategic Assessment, and will make professional recommendations to optimise the best use of resources against the Policing Plan.
The successful Post Holder will report to a Detective Superintendent within the Hertfordshire Policing Command, and will be responsible for the Line Management of Senior Crime Analysts and the continued professional development of Crime Analysis. The successful post holder will also contribute to wider Professional recommendations and advise and influence on how the Constabulary makes the best use of Resources and Technology.
The successful Post Holder will work with Law enforcement and Crime and Disorder partners at Local, Regional and National Level to maximise the sharing of intelligence and develop the force’s total pattern analysis research base.
