03/14 - Intelligence Support Assistant

The successful applicant will be providing a first line support service by generating audits of all force IT systems, in particular to administer and manage the use of commercial protective monitoring software and to disseminate results as required.
Therefore applicants need to be able to interrogate information and intelligence systems and then be able to generate or obtain audits reports on the data obtained.
Applicants will need to have strong IT skills including use of MS Office, Intranet and internet, as well as having knowledge and experience of working practices in respect of key IT systems (crime, custody, STORM and intelligence).
The successful applicant will need to become fully conversant in the relevant protocols, legislation, codes of practice, guidelines and standard operation procedures.
There is the requirement to work from different locations - therefore access to appropriate means of transport will be necessary. On occasion the successful applicant will need to work additional hours - however these will be agreed in advance.
Security clearance to Management Vetting level will be required as part of the pre-employment checks.
