Working within Joint Protective Services (Scientific Services Unit), an opportunity has arisen for a Forensic Imaging Analyst. You will support the Forensic Alliance in achieving its objectives by analysing forensic media, to assist investigations and provide evidential material for submissions in Court. In this role you will be supporting Bedfordshire Police and Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies.

You will contribute to achieving the Force vision, purpose and values.

In this role you will report to the Forensic Imagery Manager and be part of a team of 4 analysts working with investigating officers to provide evidential material from audio and visual sources.

Core working hours at present are between 0800 and 1700 Monday to Friday

The successful candidate should have current experience and understanding of forensic media and investigative and Criminal Justice processes; keeping up to date with changes to the law, case law, codes of practice and statutory guidance. You should have the ability to maintain accurate records and statistics within electronic databases.

The role will require you to travel across all three forces when required.

You will be based at Police HQ Welwyn Garden City.
