An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Bedfordshire Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary ICT Desktop Services Team for a Voice Engineer/Analyst to provide BAU support with some project work on a permanent basis. The successful Voice Engineer/Analyst will be responsible for daily maintenance, monitoring and bug-fixing of a number of sophisticated telephone systems, including Hybrid and IP, together with all the handsets and accessories you'll need to keep your telecoms running smoothly.
You will play a vital role in ensuring that telephony systems are operational allowing the delivery of both Emergency and Non-Emergency calls to the Force Control Rooms and Direct Dial In (DDI) to all other areas of the organisations.
Key responsibilities for the ICT Voice Engineer/Analyst:
* Change management for telephony environment
* Monitor and maximise Contact Centre up time
* Working with PABX telephony systems, performing upgrades, interfacing with 3rd party maintainers.
* Strong Experience of Avaya or Siemens phone systems is desirable
* Providing BAU support as well as project work
* Working in an ITIL environment
* Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
* Voice Recording / Call Logging / Voicemail / ACD
* Highly desirable is previous experience of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Voice Engineer/Analyst to join an organisation which provides a modern and progressive IT Infrastructure. The successful applicant will be required to work on an on-call rota to provide the organisation with 24 hour support for telephony systems, for which additional payment is made. A full driving licence is essential.
