With a newly appointed Chief Constable it’s an exciting time to join Cambridgeshire Constabulary to support the new Chief in delivering against the Police and Crime Plan with a new local policing model recently introduced.


A key element of the role is visible leadership for the Constabulary. You will be a confident and results focussed senior leader looking for that next step in a forward thinking Force in both an ever expanding and diverse county.


You will be fully committed to public service and the key values – integrity, impartiality and transparency. You will inspire officers and staff in the Constabulary to achieve despite significant changes taking place in modern policing, supporting the Chief Constable and driving the vision across the organisation whilst still delivering on local policing priorities to create a safer Cambridgeshire.


As Deputy Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire Constabulary you will be a leader and a role model. You will have the passion and purpose to inspire officers and staff of today and tomorrow to ensure the Constabulary is a force that is trusted - one that we can all be proud of.

Applicants must have passed the Strategic Command Course and be able to demonstrate a breadth of operational leadership experience, as well as experience of leading on major programmes. A good understanding of HR and Finance is also required. All applicants will be selected on an equal basis that determines their suitability for the post.
