An opportunity has arisen within The South East and Eastern Region Police Insurance Consortium (SEERPIC) for an Insurance Professional Lead. This unique post will work with and report to the SEERPIC Board (comprising of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Sussex, Surrey and Thames Valley Police).

The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing and enhancing the SEERPIC strategy for delivery of an Insurance Service for the consortium, further aligning service standards, operating processes and procedures to achieve single ways of working and future Shared Service.

As the professional lead to the individual Force leads on the SEERPIC Board you will assist in ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient Insurance service whilst optimising financial outcomes for SEERPIC with visible KPI's/information/management control and SEERPIC level management of risk and exposure.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Insurance Industry, Insurance Markets and Risk Management as well as understanding claims Management, the Claims Process and Insurance Policy Interpretation and Analysis.
Eligible candidates must possess:

• Degree and/or Professional Qualification (or working towards a professional qualification) e.g. Associate/Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute ACII /FCII, Registered Risk Practitioner (RRP), Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Risk Management
• Minimum of 5 years General Insurance experience
• Minimum of 3 years in public sector

In addition, excellent communication skills and the ability to think critically and develop strong relationships is essential.
