****PROPERTY OFFICER

This is an interesting and varied role requiring the right blend of communication, organisational and IT skills to help us manage the effective storage, administration, movement and disposal of evidential property across the county. A flexible attitude and approach towards work is essential in order to organise and prioritise your workloads in this varied role. For example one day you may be working hands on in the property stores to identify better storage solutions or prepare large volumes of disposals and then next day you may be working with spreadsheets preparing statistics for analysis by SMT or attend project meetings offering your expert advice.

As the Property Officer you will be working closely with and supporting the SROs and property supervisors. You will be expected to obtain a high level of knowledge about property processes in order to support all aspects of the Property SOP. You will be working with external partners and suppliers to arrange collections & deliveries.

You will be required to provide coaching for staff, monitor compliance of processes, provide guidance to officers and review existing processes to identify efficiencies.

A full driving license with the ability to travel between stations will be required. The post holder may be required to work from different locations other than the home police station.
