V/086/H - Information Point Support Volunteer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer to assist the Safer Neighbourhood Team based at Abbots Langley Police Station by providing an information point service to members of the public. Tasks will include keeping a log of all phone calls and enquiries, liaise with other agencies as appropriate (ie Council, dog warden), updating the Constabulary Property Management System as necessary, provide general administrative support and information based tasks for the Safer Neighbourhood Team.

This is an opportunity to join the existing volunteer team on a rota of approximately four hours per week.

The volunteer must be:
• committed
• have good interpersonal skills
• be confident with dealing with the general public
• computer literate
• able to undertake training on Police systems.

The Volunteer Scheme welcomes applications from across the county and reimburse travelling expenses up to 15 miles from the volunteering location.
