****An exciting full time opportunity has arisen within Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire’s Scientific Support unit.

The collaborated Forensic Laboratory delivers 17025 accredited fingermark enhancement services to Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Police. These being; carrying out validation and verification of techniques and recording results, understanding and applying the requirements of ISO 17025 as defined in the Quality Management System and technical documentation, and carrying out quality control checks and competency assessments to maintain required standards. These areas underpin all fingermark development work completed in the lab. To that end the successful applicant will be expected to have a good understanding of the ISO 17025 accreditation standard at interview and have a proven track record in report writing.

If this is you and you can perform to the highest standards whilst under pressure, we would be interested to hear from you.

The successful applicant will have a good standard of education, ideally with a science based qualification, with proven skills in numeracy and literacy. Appropriate experience of working in a laboratory and a knowledge of photography techniques is essential.
