An opportunity has arisen for the role of a L&D Business Partner (1 x permanent full time post and 1 x Temporary full time post to June 2018) .

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner this is a challenging, yet rewarding role, being part of the L&D Senior Leadership team.

The role requires you to act as a single point of contact to one of the three owning forces - Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or Cambridgeshire - and also work with the other force areas as required on a whole range of L&D related matters. You will also lead a number of internal training teams, and be the L&D business lead on specific portfolios. You will be part of a team that need to fully understand the range and breadth of learning requirements for the workforce of BCH, ensuring that L&D delivers those requirements through internal and external course offerings to support the forces’ visions and priorities. You will also be contributing to the further development of L&D department, in order to provide an efficient and future focused service to support policing now and in the future. The ability to quickly absorb and understand the issues facing L&D is essential and therefore experience of having worked at a strategic level within a Learning and Development environment is essential.

The successful candidate will be primarily based at Stevenage Police Station (full time post) and Bedfordshire Police Headquarters in Kempston, (temporary post) but due to the collaborative nature of the work, will be required to travel regularly to other sites across the 3 Forces.
