***As a Network Engineer you will be a vital part of the ICT Networks Team responsible for configuring, maintaining and supporting data center environments (DC), local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and wireless networks (Wifi). You'll also be part of the team that supports back office functions such as MS Exchange, MS Skype and the transition into cloud based services such as MS O365 and MS Azure.

You will provide support and technical advice on network infrastructure related issues raised via the ICT Service Desk to include diagnostics, analysis, installation and configuration. Review all incidents and service requests from users to seek resolution in a timely and professional manner, ensure the prioritised tasks are being worked on. Act as the network lead on allocated projects and ensure delivery within project constraints.

Provide subject matter expertise (SME), support and advice to both business users and ICT department staff. Undertake assessment, investigation, analysis and resolution of complex problems with ICT products involving all aspects of server and storage management. Negotiate with internal and external suppliers where necessary to resolve issues and successfully implement solutions.

Maintain an in depth level of up to date IT industry and technical awareness specifically in the datacentre and networking area. Through assessment and analysis undertake investigations into new technologies and evaluate their appropriateness.
