Following a successful bid to the Police Transformational Fund and the Home Office, the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) Network have been allocated funds to create an additional capability to further support the relentless disruption of organised crime through a Regional Disruption Team.

The team which will consist of a DS, 5 x DC’s, an Intelligence Officer, 2 x Researchers and 2 x Financial Investigators will work collaboratively with internal departments, law enforcement partners, GAIN and statutory bodies to identify opportunities, develop intelligence and a coordinated approach to the relentless disruption of criminals using a wide range of tactics, legislation and agency powers to achieve criminal justice and non-criminal justice outcomes which will include activity towards foreign national offenders, criminally derived wealth and criminals on post-conviction & preventative orders.

In order to maintain the disruption activity the Team will not undertake long, complex or protracted investigations and will very much focus on the conversion of ‘Intelligence into Action’

The team will be based in Suffolk but will work operationally across the region, sometimes beyond, in order to disrupt criminals and reduce the threat, risk or harm caused to individuals, communities or businesses living, working or operating in the Eastern region counties.

You will be expected to provide written evidence that does not exceed 500 words around the following competencies:
- We take ownership
- We are collaborative
- We deliver, support and inspire
- We are innovative and open-minded.

Also candidates will need to provide written evidence to show their skills and experience in multi-agency activity, pro-active policing, examples of self-generated work, sound decision making and other skills or training that you feel will compliment a regional disruption team.
