Applicants are sought for an exciting new post within the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit. The Victim Co-ordinator role will support various investigation teams across the seven Force Region dealing with Victims and Witnesses involved in Serious and Complex Crimes; often with vulnerabilities. The core role will be to maintain contact with victims and witnesses, to provide updates and to support Court attendance. The successful applicant will be working predominantly within the Regional Asset Recovery Team (RART) dealing in the main with victims of serious fraud.

The post will require working from a location in Hertfordshire, Suffolk and other regional locations with the investigation teams on a flexible basis. Working days will typically be Monday to Friday. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage the expectations of victims and to support them with signposting to other agencies where required. A good knowledge of I.T Systems is required; as is the ability to create and maintain records. The successful applicant should be highly self-motivated and able to work without close supervision, a driving licence is essential.

Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Management Vetting (5 years residency criteria) and Security Clearance (5 years residency criteria) or Development vetting, if applicable, before taking up the post. Please be aware the Police Corporate Vetting Unit will undertake security vetting on successful candidates, their family and others that live at their home address, which will include financial checks. Due to the sensitive nature of these checks, we are not able to supply feedback should clearance be declined.
