The Estates & Facilities Department comprises of dedicated police staff within specialist teams who are responsible for the effective management of the estate on behalf of the Chief and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable.

Lead by the Head of Estates and Facilities, the Estates and Facilities department consists of two internal divisions, Estates who are responsible for the delivery of Capital projects and property matters and Facilities who are responsible for the day to day service delivery and compliance of the estate.

Based at WGC HQ the Estates and Facilities team are responsible for ensuring the Constabulary’s buildings are compliant and fit for purpose and services provided provide value for money in addition to providing professional advice and support to the police and crime commissioner on estates matters. The Constabulary’s estate consists of 30 sites in total, 16 of which are owned, 14 are leased (excluding Police houses) with a gross total floor area of approx. 60,000m2.

This role is a dedicated administrative resource to the Estates division of the Estates and Facilities department, whilst providing support to the Head of Estates and Facilities.

The post holder will be required to provide a variety of Admin Support to the Estates division of the Estates and Facilities Department, including preparing documents, booking meetings and taking minutes, maintenance of records and databases for Constabulary buildings and assisting all members of the Estates team to help maintain the smooth running of the Department. First point of contact within the Team, directing and dealing with questions and queries at source.

Key Responsibilities include;

- Undertake a range of administrative duties, some of which may be complex in nature, to support a professional/operational team.
- Respond to complex enquiries from internal/external customers and members of the public. Offer advice and assistance in relation to all related matters.
- Research, compile and present information as required.
- Adjust and organise the timing and priority of work in order to ensure that information is made available in meetings, for working groups etc.
- Manage a small budget within organisational guidelines.
