The Hertfordshire Constabulary’s new combined Resource Management Unit manages the duties of thousands of police officers and staff across the county and further afield. Based at Hatfield Police Station, the unit is responsible for ensuring there is adequate numbers of staff and officers available to enable all units to operate on a daily basis. We also manage all abstractions from duties and operational requests.
The RMU offers a varied and demanding role within a professional team with a strong customer service ethos. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, strong IT skills as well as excellent communication skills.

The Resource Management Unit operates between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am and 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Successful candidates will be required to work an eight week rolling shift pattern (consisting of a mixture of earlies 8am-4pm and lates 10am-6pm). There is also a requirement to work one weekend in eight, 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

Please note, if you are shortlisted for interview you will be expected to evidence against all personal qualities and the entry requirements stipulated in the role profile. You may also be required to understand a short analytical test on Windows Excel.

All internal staff from Hertfordshire Constabulary (including Agency Workers and specials but excluding volunteers and apprentices who have not yet completed at least 9 months of their apprenticeship) are eligible to apply for this post.
