An exciting opportunity has arisen to be the BCH ESMCP Programme Manager and a key leader in the transition from Airwave to the Emergency Services Network over the next 2/3 years.

Working as the Programme Manager you will ensure that BCH are ‘transition ready’ in accordance with the national agreed schedule and you will lead a team of people, across various disciplines, in order to achieve this key milestone. You will ensure that all necessary trials, tests and pilots are completed successfully and that any risks and issues are raised to the appropriate governance level within the overall programme/projects.

You will be passionate about change and the improvement of our services through the harnessing of ICT capabilities. You will also ensure that all potential benefits from ESN are captured and realised. You will have the ability to motivate a team, ensuring that timescales are met and that all relevant stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who has significant and recent programme and project management experience and who can help to build strong working relations with both external and internal stakeholders, as well as supporting senior officers at both Chief Officer and Superintendent levels in their roles to ensure effective delivery of ESN across BCH. The successful candidate must therefore be a confident communicator and able to liaise effectively with key stakeholders and partner agencies.

The post holders must hold a full current driving licence and be willing to travel around BCH forces and the Eastern Region.

For the purposes of the application you will be expected to provide evidence against the four personal qualities below and the entry requirements:

 We are emotionally aware
 We take ownership
 We are collaborative
 We deliver, support and inspire
 We analyse critically
 We are innovative and open-minded

There is a word count limit of 500 words per section.

If you are shortlisted for interview you will be expected to evidence against all personal qualities and the entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile.
