Information Management Department is a newly collaborated department within Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Police (BCH) incorporating various business areas within Organisational Support.

The role of the PNC and Business Services Practitioner is to update and interrogate the PNC (Police National Computer) as well as other systems within BCH in order to assist in the reduction and prevention of crime and safeguarding. The post holder will help BCH to achieve the PNC Code of Practice Standards in all areas of timeliness and accuracy of the PNC. Practitioners undertake investigative searches of the PNC and other databases as required, and will carry out additional business services.

This role will suit a Part-time applicant (0.68FTE/27 hours), and the required working hours for this post are 14:00-19:00 hours Monday to Friday for 4 weeks of the 9 week shift pattern, the remaining five weeks to work 5 hours a day between 0800 and 1700, and working one Saturday within nine which attracts a weekend working allowance and the following Monday off. The successful applicant will be based at Bedford Borough Hall.

The starting salary for this vacancy at Scale 4 is £19,521 PRO-RATA.
