There are 3 Records Management Centres (RMC) within the collaborated BCH Information Management structure and one of those is at Monks Wood. The RMCs are busy archive stores where the emphasis is on ensuring records are stored and reviewed in accordance with NPCC guidance, the Management of Police Information requirements and legislation such as the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act.

As a Records Management Practitioner you will work as part of an already committed and enthusiastic team to deliver a first class service to our internal and external customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and scrutiny in recording and reviewing retained records.

The successful candidate should have previous experience of working within an administration based environment, know how to use windows based software and ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. Previous use of force systems such as Crimefile, PNC, Vision and Transearch is desirable but not essential, as training would be provided.

The position is a full time post of 37hrs per week and is based at RMC, Monks Wood but as part of a BCH team there may be a requirement to occasionally be able to work from the other RMCs at Letchworth and Luton so an ability to travel to alternative locations is needed. Core opening hours for the unit are 08:00 – 16:00 Mon-Fri but hours within the range 07:30 – 16:30 can be accommodated.

If you are interested in applying for the advertised role please ensure you read the attached information, including role profile, context sheet (if applicable) and recruitment information for applicants.
