Working within Joint Protective Services (Scientific Services Unit), this is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a supervisor to primarily supervise a team of 9 in our central hub at WGC but to also provide supervison to the north and south hub when required, contributing to achieving the Force vision, purpose and values.

The role supports the Forensic Alliance in achieving its objectives by supervising the retrieval and analysing forensic media to assist investigations and provide evidential material for submissions in Court.

The unit also provide an accessible and resilient CCTV and VIPER service supporting local investigations for Bedfordshire Police and Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Constabularies and cover operational and non operational photographic duties. Whilst being predominately based in WGC you will travel to other sites to cover and support the other supervisors ensuring the unit of 30 fulfil all requirements of the photographic, Identification and CCTV areas as expected.

You will be required to meet the minimum entry requirements, and will be interviewed against the behavioural competences outlined in the application process. The unit is accredited to ISO 17025 standard and therefore understanding of this is required however training would be provided as you will oversee the technical management of this area.Please refer to the role profile for a full description.

You will report to the Forensic Imaging Manager and you will be part of a team of 3 Forensic Imaging Supervisors supporting the team.

This role will also involve extensive liaison with partners and other customers to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved whilst ensuring the unit is kept up to date with legislation and national changes.

The ability to travel across all three forces is mandatory and therefore the use of your own car and business insurance is required.
