This role is an exciting opportunity to join the new HR Data and Digital Systems department. A key feature of HR Transformation this department has been designed to enable the current programme of digitalisation across HR. The overall aim is to achieve:

• Increased customer satisfaction and HR reputation
• Reduction in first line queries
• Reduction in cost and increase in efficiency
• Reduction in manual transactional activity

As System Manager you will develop, implement and manage the digital systems team.
You will actively support the development of our HR Data and Digital service and its implementation in line with other HR services.

You will line manage the System Team who will strive to:

• Maximise the delivery of self service, provide clarity and minimise the points of contact with HR.
• Provide an environment of innovation and continuous improvement – create opportunities to utilise, configure, test and go live with more workflow, automation and customer interaction with HR via the systems.
• Be an expert in system functionality working with ICT and suppliers to ensure the stability and performance of the systems.
• Manage and maintain the establishment to ensure the ICT Metaverse, Athena and other key policing systems are utilised in the most efficient and effective manner.
• Manage and maintain the line management structure which enables MSS/ESS.
• Manage the loss of integration and strive to close this gap in other ways in order to minimise the impact on the business.
• Manage the interdependencies between all systems and the ICT Metaverse which drives other essential Policing Systems including Athena.
