***An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team working within the newly developed Workforce Development Unit. Applications are sought from experienced staff who are able to lead on the design and/or implementation of projects that are required to deliver the force objectives around recruitment, retention, promotion and other resourcing requirements. This will include Special Constabulary and Trainee Investigator recruitment and innovations such as the Accelerated Detective Constable Programme.

Following the proposed amalgamation of RMU and PA services the successful candidate will also ensure these priority functions are maintained and they will liaise with customers to ensure service delivery maintained. They will therefore need to evidence a proven background in managing dispersed teams under demanding circumstances and a high level of self-motivation and self-management. The success of this role will be in forming strong working relationships internally and externally excellent communication skills are therefore essential.

The post will be based at WGC, HQ but however the successful applicant will have line management responsibility for staff dispersed across the organisation. The successful applicant will also be expected to deputise for the WFD Supt and represent Hertfordshire as required within BCH and 7 Force Workstreams therefore a willingness to travel is essential.
