This role is based within the collaborated Human Resources Service Centre in Stevenage, which is the first point of contact for all HR enquiries from internal and external customers of Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary.

You will be required to deliver an excellent, customer-focused service for all HR transactional processes including recruitment, pay, resignations, retirements, sickness recording, maternity and career breaks.

This is a challenging role and excellent communication skills with all levels of staff are a necessity, as is a high level of self-motivation, pro-activity and the ability to multi-task. You must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, be flexible in your approach and be able to work well as part of a team.

A large part of your role will be answering the telephone as a first point of contact for HR queries from both internal and external customers. This will need to be managed alongside the administrative process work so the ability to multi task and prioritise in a very busy office environment are essential.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer service environment and the ability to work in a high volume administrative environment with a passion to continuously improve their skills and knowledge. Experience in the use of IT and a good working knowledge of word processing, spread sheets and databases are also essential.
