The role of Compliance Manager, is a newly created position within the recently restructured Estates and Facilities department, reporting into the Head of Facilities. The Compliance Manager role currently has two direct reports, coupled with the requirement for communication and monitoring of various specialist contractors.

The Constabulary estate comprises of 44 sites some of which are free hold and others shared occupancy or leasehold. The GIA being in excess of 60,000m2 with the Headquarters site extending to 28 acres and accommodating in excess of 1,200 officers and police staff.

The Role of Compliance Manager provides support to both the Facilities (Reactive & PPM) and Estates teams (projects) to monitor existing systems and develop new processes and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory H&S legislation and prepare the Constabulary ahead of any changes to legislation which may impact on the organisation.

The post holder will have experience in delivering compliance in a multi-site environment, providing support and direction in relation to both statutory compliance in a maintenance environment and the delivery of construction projects.

The post holder will have the opportunity of working alongside other team members to develop process and procedures to ensure efficient delivery of the services to support operational policing and provide value for money.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is responsive to change, achievement focused with proven experience.
