Hertfordshire Constabulary are looking for an A3 DriveSafe Camera Van Coordinator to work within a new unit managing two Safety Camera operators. This is a new role and the post holder will be working between North Herts and Hemel Hempstead police stations under the Community Safety Unit. The post holder will be employed on a full-time basis (12 Month Contract). The team will be made up of two further A2 staff members who will also be line managed by the Community Safety Sergeants.

The working hours of this role will be Monday-Friday.

The post holder will be responsible for setting up and managing the process in which CSP’s can apply for a Safety Camera Van to be deployed to their communities, assess applications for deployment and make recommendations to the Police and Crime Commissioner, liaise with the Camera Enforcement unit to ensure the effective deployment of the vans. Devise efficient schedules for the operators, upload the data gathered by these operators onto constabulary systems for the production of non-enforcement warning letters to be generated. Produce management reports of the service including key performance data. Provide cover for operators when additional resources are required.

The successful candidate will need to have a good grasp of IT and computer skills as well as being able to multi-task and work under pressure. Good communication and customer service skills are essential to this role. The successful candidate will be required to work out of hours at times and is required to have a full manual UK driving license with Cat B entitlements. The successful candidate will also be required to be able to work collaboratively with others, both internally and externally.
