We have four immediate vacancies within The Beacon Safeguarding Hub based in the domestic abuse and safeguarding unit (DAISU) in Hatfield. The role advertised is for Victim safeguarding officer. (VSO) The Beacon Safeguarding Hub are co-located within DAISU at Hatfield Police Station. You will be joining a highly motivated team of staff and officers to deliver outstanding victim care across Hertfordshire. Your main role will involve victim contact, assessing the needs of victims, providing advice, guidance and safeguarding support for victims of domestic abuse. You will provide them with information about the next steps with their crime, their rights under the victim’s code of practice and referring them onwards to appropriate support agencies.

There may be occasions when you will record crime reports directly from members of the public. If you have strong communication skills, a desire to help victims of domestic abuse and are confident using different computer systems then this could be the job for you.
