***This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of police officers and staff delivering the attraction, engagement and recruitment of police officer candidates from under-represented communities and protected characteristics, supporting the College of Policing’s Positive Action strategy.

The post holder will be at the forefront of black and ethnic minority recruitment, with a remit of engaging with diverse communities, dispelling the myths of policing, encouraging, supporting and coaching those from under-represented backgrounds to choose policing in Hertfordshire as their career of choice.

The post holder will have a good understanding of the College of Policing Positive Action strategy, and must show a genuine passion for inclusivity across all protected characteristics.

The post holder will also need to be highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail and proficient in Excel and Outlook, as this role involves dealing with bulk data when recruitment periods open and close.

The post can work flexible hours but must include some evening and weekend working to accommodate recruitment events and coaching sessions, which will be agreed in conjunction with the Positive Action Sergeant.
