Hertfordshire Constabulary are excited to announce that we will be hosting an information evening for potential applicants to find out more about the role.
The information evening will be on:-
Tuesday 23rd October 2018
at
Hertfordshire Police Headquarters, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6XF
The event will be from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Please do not arrive on site prior to 6pm.
There is plenty of on-site parking and there will personnel present to assist you in arriving at the correct building.
People with a curious, inquisitive mind, who think they make have what it takes to be a detective, are being encouraged to apply to join Hertfordshire Constabulary as part of the Accelerated Detective Constable Programme and this event will provide you with all the information you need to assess whether this role is for you!
Successful candidates will be required to complete a year of intensive training and practical experience to ensure that the requirements of a police constable are met. Candidates will then complete the necessary training to obtain the detective qualification to become a detective.
No previous policing experience is necessary to apply but it is essential that anyone applying displays the skills and attributes suited to the role, including an inquisitive mind, excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of integrity. It’s a challenging job but also one which is extremely diverse and rewarding.
Applications can be submitted from Tuesday 16th October 2018 until Sunday 28th October 2018 at 23.55hrs.
Successful candidates will be required to begin training in May 2019.
You must register your interest in order to attend. It is recommended that you attend this event prior to submitting an application.
The programme is not open to existing Police Officers, who would apply through the internal TI process.
