The File Build Units at Stevenage and Hatfield currently have vacancies for A3 Assistant Investigators with further projected vacancies.

The successful applicant’s responsibility will be to complete Crime Files to the National File Build Standard in accordance with the principles of Transforming Summary Justice.

The post holder will be working closely with other members of the team, Crown Prosecution Services and Investigation Teams providing further investigation, evidence and material needed to bring cases to a successful conclusion.

Interested applicants should provide evidence to demonstrate level 1 behaviours and values in accordance with the Competency Values Framework for Policing.

Evidence should be grouped under the following headings with a maximum of 500 words for each:

• We deliver, support and inspire
• We take ownership
• We analyse critically
• We are emotionally aware

Candidates will be scored on their applications forms, and those providing sufficient evidence will then need to undertake an Interview Board.

Selection will be based on interview where you will need to evidence against all of the personal qualities within the role profile.
