Information Management (IM) is a collaborated BCH (Beds, Cambs & Herts) department incorporating various business areas within Organisational Support. One of the functions within IM is the Access Control Team. An opportunity has arisen within the team for a fourth member to assist in the smooth running of access around the three county areas.

The team is based in Letchworth, although an ability for to travel around the 3 force areas for occasional site visits is required. The role consists of making new and replacement cards, resolving access issues, liaising with the Vetting team for vetting information, granting and refusing access requests and visiting sites around the estate to check for security. The skills you will need are a working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel as we use these daily – you will be trained in the use of the 3 Access Control programs we currently use across the 3 forces. You will be dealing with officers and staff daily and therefore a customer focused, can do attitude is needed. Some of the role involves problem solving so an enquiring mind is an advantage. The role is challenging and enjoyable.

For further information on the role please contact Neal Alston, Access Control Supervisor at Letchworth on 07789860986 or Neal.alston2@herts.pnn.police.uk.
