We now have an immediate vacancy within the Victim Service Team (VST). Victim care is a priority for the Constabulary and the Police Crime Commissioner. The Victim Service Team work within Beacon, the Hertfordshire Victim Care Centre, and are co-located at Police Headquarters, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire with Catch-22 our specialized Victim Support team.

You will be joining a highly motivated team of staff and officers to deliver outstanding victim care across Hertfordshire. Your main role will involve victim contact, assessing the needs of victims of crime and providing advice, guidance and support in the days following their report of crime. You will provide them with information about the next steps with their crime, refer them to support agencies and ensure they are aware of their rights under the Victims Code of Practice.

If you have strong communication skills, a desire to help victims and are confident using different computer systems then this could be the job for you.
