Police Surveillance Officers and Motorcyclists

Are you a pro-active Police Officer targeting Organised Criminality or in a Q1 or Q2 Surveillance role?

Hertfordshire Constabulary are a high performing force with a proven reputation for tackling serious and organised crime. Bordering the capital, our county is a diverse landscape of large towns and roaming rural areas that is home to approximately 1.2 million residents and amongst the safest places in the UK to live and work.

We are currently seeking accredited Q1 surveillance trained Detective Constables and Police Constables, applications are invited for current and projected vacancies in the Hertfordshire Covert Investigation Unit based at Headquarters, Welwyn Garden City as part of the Serious and Organised Crime Group. In addition we are seeking accredited a Q2 surveillance motorcyclist to join the team.

Initiative, innovation, flexibility and sound decision making skills will allow the right candidate to relentlessly pursue those that think they can defeat conventional Policing methods and

pose the most threat and risk to Hertfordshire communities and beyond.

The right candidate will work in partnership with other agencies and units and be at the forefront of the fight against organised Crime in line with the strategic Policing requirement and can expect to be deployed against local crime and safeguarding priorities.

As part of the selection process applicants will be required to meet the standard to be accepted onto the trainee investigator program and subsequently complete it.

If you are shortlisted for interview you will be expected to evidence against all personal qualities, and the entry requirements, stipulated in the role profile. As per the Return on Investment Policy the successful applicant will be required to spend a minimum of 24 months in post.
