***Applications are invited to apply for the post of Intelligence Support Officer. The successful applicant will work within the General Intelligence Unit, based at Hatfield. The post holder will be administering and disseminating intelligence in line with the force aims of crime reduction, community safety and catching criminals. To achieve this they will be able to use force IT systems to collect, collate, evaluate and research intelligence noting patterns and trends. Successful applicants will be working within the main Intelligence Department working within a team formed of Intelligence Officers and Crime Analysts.

This role is key to supporting the briefing and tasking of front line officers and brings with it a significant sense of achievement. The post holder will not only be responsible for the administration of intelligence, but will be expected to identify areas of risk and support key proactive and reactive operations and investigations.

The post holder will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise work and an enquiring mind. They will also be expected to promote the work of the intelligence unit in a professional manner.
