***The Executive Support team are responsible for providing one-to-one administrative support to the NPCC Chief Officer team of Hertfordshire Constabulary including, the Chief Constable, Deputy & Assistant Chief Constables and Director of Resources.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the team for an Executive Support Officer (ESO) to the Chief Constable. A busy role, reporting into the Business Manager, the ESO will be responsible for providing research, organisational and administrative support and advice to members of the Force Executive to assist them in directing and controlling the force and their work with NPCC and other agencies.

This will include; assisting in managing strategic relationships with senior partners/contributors liaising with Senior Officers/Members of the Constabulary, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Home Office and political representatives across Hertfordshire.
Although the role is based at WGC Police Headquarters travel would occasionally be required, to meetings in London as well as nationally.

The ideal applicant would have well-developed numeracy, analytical and research techniques and preferably experience as a Personal or Executive Support Assistant to a Senior Leader of a large organisation. As well as knowledge of MS Office to an advanced level.

Demonstration of a broad knowledge of both national and policing issues and current affairs would be beneficial.
