***Analyst – Casualty Reduction - Roads Policing - JPS

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and forward thinking analytical person to join the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Command Team, which is part of Joint Protective Services (JPS). This bespoke and unique role will be to support JPS in reducing casualties on the roads of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. Working to the casualty reduction Inspector the post holder will analyse data from a range of sources which will then help shape both strategic activity and tactical briefings of the Road Policing Unit. The post holder will be directly involved with the JPS tasking unit and will ensure proactive deployment of roads policing officers is based on analysis and evidence.

This is a 12 month post to build and develop the concept of this post. Secondments will be considered for existing staff and the candidate will have on the job input to enable them to understand the area of business they will be supporting and delivering for. Working with partners will also be a key requirement of the post holder who will work alongside and inform the Strategic road partnership boards across the three counties. The individual will have to be thoroughly capable of building strategic data reports covering performance within key areas and will also be responsible for developing the Strategic Risk Assessment (STRA) for Roads policing and supporting ( where necessary) the STRA analyst in other JPS related work.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of competence and ability to present analytical reports.
