We are advertising a supervisor position within the Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB). 

The primary function of the CIB is to ensure the professional, consistent assessment and management of all intelligence and information entering the CIB, including risk assessing sensitive intelligence. We use several computer systems/databases to manage our intelligence and research. 

The CIB comprises of two Supervisors and 20 Intelligence support officers. The CIB works within a larger intelligence unit at Hatfield Police Station and supports the flow of intelligence   around the force. 

This role will require you to be a first line supervisor for a number of intelligence support officers and support the direction of intelligence. 

This will include supporting new members of staff and providing advice and direction around the progression of intelligence. 

You will work a shift pattern / hours Monday - Friday between 0700 hrs and 1800 hours. 

Applicants should have current understanding of the handling of intelligence, including the management of sensitive intelligence and the ability to carry out supervisory duties for staff, including identifying staff development needs and ensuring these are met. Part of the role will also see the successful candidate carry out the Single Point of Contact work to multiple forces and agencies/partners, completing the administrative duties required in a busy Intelligence office. 

Daily business will also see the supervisors supporting real time and slow time operational Intelligence duties, including the creation of intelligence products for the purpose of dissemination.
