7 Force Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme (ESMCP) 

7F ESMCP Coverage Data Analyst 

Full time – 37 hours per week 

Location: Local Force.  Combination of working from home with requirement to attend office location across the region, as necessary 

Duration: Secondment or Temporary Contract – current funding to 31.3.2024 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Coverage Data Analyst to join the 7F Strategic Collaboration Programme Team to provide support to the 7F Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme. (ESMCP).

This is a complex project with tight timescales for delivery and has significant and wide-ranging implications for all emergency services Nationally. 

Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme will deliver a modernised voice and data service to the emergency services and will replace the current Airwave system. 

The ESMCP coverage team will be expected to develop an understanding of each of the emergency services coverage issues to identify any potential disruption or duplicity that may exist with the ESMCP transition. 

The 7F ESMCP Coverage Data Analyst will report directly to the 7F ESMCP Coverage Lead and will provide analytical support to the 3 emergency services working across the Eastern region. This will include analysis of data on the Home Office Assure portal to identify potential gaps in radio coverage, reporting of areas of concern to the Home Office and review of responses, assisting with the delivery of workstream plans, completing research tasks, and preparing reports and presentations. 

The successful candidate must have experience of working in an analytical role, previous project experience would be advantageous.  They should be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  1. Previous experience in data analysis and management of information with strong Excel skills
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful stakeholder working relationships
  3. Experience of undertaking research and compiling and presenting information
  4. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
