Redeployees who apply will be given priority over any other internal applicants for permanent roles up until the point that an offer has been accepted either verbally or in writing.

***A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and forward thinking analytical person to join the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Command Team, which is part of Joint Protective Services (JPS).

As detailed in the Role Profile, the candidate will develop, manage and analyse JPS Specialist Operations data to deliver Strategic Threat and Risk Assessments (STRA), maintain the JPS Risk Register, and deliver performance reports to meet the business requirements. Whilst the role holder will receive on-the-job input to enable them to understand the area of business they will be supporting and delivering for, they will need to be capable of building data reports covering performance within key areas and presenting their data at strategic level.

A proportion of the candidates work and responsibility will be the understanding of the Strategic Threat and Risk Assessment’s (STRA’s) which are critically important to JPS. Nationally the STRA’s are governed by NPoCC and these are open for HMIC inspection and can come under heavy critique/question. The ability to develop, assess, review, and inform on the risk for the upcoming period will be a core part of the role.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of competence and ability to apply statistical analysis skills and preparation of performance and management information reports at a senior level within an organisation. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work with minimal supervision, be able to prioritise work effectively and have a good standard of written and verbal communication.

The successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel across Beds, Cambs and Herts but the permanent base location can be either Bedfordshire Police Headquarters or Cambridgeshire Police Headquarters which is where the majority of the business area and command team are based.

For the purposes of the application you will be expected to provide evidence against the four personal qualities below and the entry requirements:

• We take ownership
• We analyse critically
• We deliver, support and inspire
• We are collaborative

There is a word count limit of 500 words per section.

If you are shortlisted for interview you will be expected to evidence against all personal qualities and the entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile.

JPS endeavor to reflect the diverse communities we serve and to build an inclusive workforce where everyone is valued and respected. We actively encourage applications from underrepresented or minority groups.
