We are looking for someone with the right blend of communication and IT skills to help us provide front counter services at police stations within Hertfordshire and oversee the storing, safekeeping and movement of evidence.

You will be providing face-to-face and telephone public access, giving information and assistance to members of the public, as well as administering some enforcement processes.

You will also be taking responsibility for accurately recording detained property and ensuring that it is stored in a safe and secure manner. You will be managing enquiries in relation to property, returning property to its owners and sending unclaimed items to auction or charity. You will be using an IT system, so accurate keyboard skills are essential.

At times you will find yourself working under pressure, so you must be able to organise and prioritise effectively.

The successful candidate will be required to work a shift system involving evening and weekend working.

The post holder may be required to work from different locations other than the home police station of Hatfield/Watford/Stevenage, therefore, a full driving licence and own transport is essential.

For further information or an informal discussion please contact Marija BARIC on 07725 606756 or Kathy GREEN 07961 063293.
