***A2 Fleet Stores Assistant

The Fleet Department is based in the vehicle workshop at Herts Headquarters and consists of technical staff, stores staff and management personnel.

A vacancy for a Fleet Stores Assistant has arisen within the department which requires the successful candidate to assist in the running of the Fleet Stores and also to give assistance in other Fleet areas as required.

This role undertakes ordering, receiving storing and issuing of vehicle parts and also requires an individual who has keyboard skills and is comfortable using the telephone and dealing with customers and suppliers. There is also a degree of administrative work involving the processing of invoices, updating fleet computer systems and other office based admin.

There is also a degree of manual work in this role and the need for the post holder to hold a current driving licence, pass an internal driving assessment and be prepared to travel to other Chiltern Transport Consortium workshops if required.

Working hours will be 08:00 – 16:30 Mon-Thurs and 08:00 – 16:00 on Friday.
