This role is an exciting opportunity to join the new HR Data and Digital Systems department. A key feature of HR Transformation this department has been designed to enable the current programme of digitilisation across HR. Our overall aim is to achieve:

• Increased customer satisfaction and HR reputation
• Reduction in first line queries
• Reduction in cost and increase in efficiency
• Reduction in manual transactional activity

As the Business Objects System Administrator you will provide a high level of expertise using Business Objects across three universes, iTrent, CARM and e-financials. You will support the Data Manager in the development, implementation and management of a full and robust data management system which is managed by HR and also supports finance, payroll and duties.

You will strive to:

• Maximise the delivery of self service, provide clarity and minimise the points of contact with HR.
• Provide an environment of innovation and continuous improvement; create opportunities to utilise, configure, test and go live with more workflow and automation.
• Be an expert in system functionality working with ICT and suppliers to ensure the stability and performance of the Business Objects.
• To have a full understanding of the interfaces between all systems and manage the loss of integration and strive to close this gap using Business Objects in order to minimise the impact on the business.

Typical activities will include:

· All BO users logins and Security checks (Who is accessing what) verification
· Work with ICT to ensure optimal performance
· Testing the availability of all Universe connections to respective Databases
· Verifying site properties/user activities/ BO module activities from Web intelligence Console
· Monitoring day to day scheduled jobs on Broadcast Agent (BCA)
· Troubleshooting if any issues with Reports (Technical support to Users)
· Regular BO repository Maintenance i.e Cleaning Orphaned Connection/Universe/Documents
· Running Integrity Checks on all Universes
· Discuss performance issues with DBA
· Monitoring BO Licences and Transfer issues
· New Universe development / modification
· Data mapping to new tables in the universes (if and when required)
· BO resource allocation linking universe / Documents to Users and User Groups
· Installation and upgrading BO server with new version of software (Business Objects)
· Meeting with BO users to discuss supporting issues
· Assisting end users with training and the writing of complex or linked universe reports
